SEA Super Group Project E.A.R To Debut at the MTV Asia Awards 2008

MTV Asia announced today that Asian super group Project E.A.R (East Asian Revolution) has been added to the existing line-up of international and regional artists who will be performing at the MTV Asia Awards 2008 on August 2.
Project E.A.R. (East Asian Revolution) is a collective of like-minded musicians from Southeast Asia who had taken the opportunity to showcase their very first collaboration on MTV. Their debut performance at the MTV Asia Awards will feature a medley of songs performed in five different languages from the region (Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, English, Tagalog and Thai), fusing various genres of music. The super group is made up of members from Ahli Fiqir (Singapore), Pop Shuvit (Malaysia), Saint Loco (Indonesia), Slapshock (Philippines), Silksounds (Thailand) and Thaitanium (Thailand). Featuring Slapshock
Slapshock was formed by five musicians on February 1997 in University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City. They started as a rap-metal group which later developed to a more diverse rock band. Most of the early gigs were college sponsored events, fairs and also some club gigs like Club Dredd and Mayric’s which are the pinoneer rock clubs in Manila. The band was signed in 1998, when rap-metal was a hit in the U.S as well as in the Phippines. We've been around for quite a while....around 8 yrs now. And we always try to outdo the previous website design every 6 month or so. It's time for that change. Pop Shuvit has evolved into an entity that cannot be described as just a 'band' anymore, but more of a collective enterprise that is willing to share its music all over the planet. We have made friends all accross Asia and even with bands from the United States. We've shared stages with these bands, hung out with them, partied with them and made music together. Apart from the music there is also the newly acquired Merchandise store which we have launch on this website. It's Pop Shuvit in the element again. Objectives The objective of this website if of course primarily to promote and share our music but, it doesn't end there. Since the birth of Project E.A.R, (read story above) we have been more sensitive of forming a free flow of network with bands all over Asia. We will continue to tour extensively in Asia and get involved with more international projects. Nonetheless, that doesn't mean we will forget about our own backyard, Malaysia. Malaysia is always special in our heart and will always be our homeland. Special projects are in hand to give brand new surprises for the Malaysian market. Watch out peeps.
